Healthy Practices:

 

v  Principal’s Welcome Address: It is customary that the Principal deliver welcome speech to all First Year classes at the beginning of academic year.

v  Student Council: Students’ administrative body formed as per Universities Act.

v  Parents’ meetings: The meetings are arranged twice in a year i.e. on 1st Sunday of August and 1st Sunday of December.

v  Class Guardianship: The teachers are appointed on every class to look after problems of the students.

v  Special Guidance Lectures: These lectures are arranged for the classes of T.Y.B.A. and T.Y.B.Com., delivered by Eminent Subject Experts.

v  Regular Tests: These tests are conducted in class room to enhance student progress.

v  Presentations by the students: The students are encouraged to make presentations such as PPT.

v  Remedial coaching: Especially for the poor students.

v  Booster lectures: For the bright students to achieve higher ranks.

v  Bridge courses: For weaker students if demanded / as per requirements.

v  Career Guidance: To guide the students for various competitive examinations.

v  Book Exhibition: It is organize to nurture reading habit among the students.

v  Book Bank Scheme: The students belonging to Backward Class are provided books on loan basis.

v  Group Insurance for students: A student taking admission in a college is insured under the Group Insurance Scheme for Students. As per the University circular SW/47 of 2005 dated Dec, 14/2005 an annual fees of Rs.20/- is charged per student.

v  Women Development Cell: This arranges programs in consideration of the female student benefits.

v  Grievance Redressal Cell: This solves student related problems.

v  Students Advisory Cell: As per directions of University the Committee is formed and work is undertaken.

v  Students’ Aid Fund: Gives financial help to the needy students and also arranges ‘Reimbursement of Fees’ to the deserving students.

v  First Aid and Medical Assistance: The facility of First Aid kit is available for the students and the doctors are associated with the college.

v  Alumni Association: Alumni Association is formed as ‘Adarsh Snehbandh’. It maintains link with the passed out students from the college. The alumni are invited to participate in various programs.

v  Social Awareness Projects: These society oriented projects are undertaken such as Save Electricity.

v  Environment Awareness: Projects are undertaken such as tree plantation, vermiculture.

v  Various Surveys: The students are encouraged to conduct surveys on Reading Habits, Water depletion level, Tobacco chewing habit etc.

v  Intra College and Inter Collegiate Cultural Festival HARMONY: The Cultural festivals are organized to provide the students to exhibit their talent.

v  Inter Collegiate Business Quiz and Presentation Competition ‘Focus’: The Self Financing courses organize this program.

v  Mr. Adarsh & Ms. Adarsh: The Best Boy and Best Girl Student of the Year are selected through a rigorous selection process.

v  Staff Academy Program: Various programs are arranged for teaching and non teaching staff. ‘Knowledge Sharing Program’ is one of them.

v  Satyanarayan Pooja: Every year on the occasion of Vasant Panchami the pooja is performed.

 

Innovative Practices:

 

v  Value and culture based approach to education:

Ø  Matrudin: Every year celebration of Mother’s Day as per Indian traditions on Shravan Amavasya. On this occasion “Adarsh Vasundhara Mata” award is given to a woman who devoted her life for social cause.

Ø  Youth Day: The College celebrates Youth Day on 12th January every year on the occasion of birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.

Ø  Universal Brotherhood Day: The College celebrates Universal Brotherhood Day on 11 September.

Ø  Value Education: The college organizes lectures such as ‘Ancient Indian Education System: Legacy and Tradition’

v  Community Flag Hoisting: The NSS volunteers of college participate in flag hoisting ceremony on the occasion of Independence Day and Republic Day in nine places in the vicinity areas of Kulgaon-Badlapur.

v  National Integration Day: The students are encouraged to represent the culture of the people of various states in India.

v  Student Council Day: Various cultural and educational games are organized for the students.

v  Student Appreciation Prizes: Encouragement is given to the students by awarding endowment prizes for their academic, sports and other excellence. Some of these prizes are instituted by teaching and non teaching staff.

v  Publication Day: The publication of college magazine ‘Srujan’ and publications of various departments and associations.

v  A course in Effective Communication: This course is conducted to improve linguistic ability.

v  A course in German Language: A certificate course which provides opportunity to the students to acquire knowledge of foreign language.

v  Welcome-Appreciation of Achievements: Felicitation of teaching and non teaching staff as appreciation of their achievement.
